And hunt would be reserved to the elite players : vs Level 40 Monster only. On the other side, any monster that is level 40 would not be alowed to play on arcade mode. I'll suggest that arcade could only accept : or or only. This is why i believe that seperating squad and randoms like rocket league did is crucial to Evolve's health. The simple fact that you can quickly correct each others mistakes through voicechat and that you can plan strategies and change them on the fly during a match will make you outperform randoms by a big margin. But from my point of view, any game of coop will see a team of people knowing each other and on com, regardless of their skill (to an extent), will perform better than solos everytime. ![]() Even fully staffed studio have often failed to implement it correctly, especially in Asymetric games. Creating a functionning matchmaking is one of the hardest feature To get right. Reactivate Hunt but change it to be specifically made for 4 man squad with VC : again without matchmaking it's tough sperating the solo beginners, from the solo veterans, from the 4 man squad beginners, from the 4man squad veterans. ![]() This is why new players should level up their characters up to level 5 there before playing against real players. Coop vs AI is a great place to learn a character, try out different perk and understand at your own pace the different abilities and how to incorporate them into your team. This is furstrating for anyone playing this match, leading to toxic behavior. You know if you see level 0 hank on your team, that you will not get proper shield. Any player picking a character for the first time will fail the team every single time. You need that everyone in your team have at least a basic understanding of how the game work and how to contribute to your team with your characters abilities. The beauty (and the downside) of Evolve is that you can't entirely carry your team on your own. So you'll have players with 1k hours getting matched with players just starting out. ![]() Do not allow any character with a level 0-5 to be picked in versus (only in CoopVsAI or CustomVsAI) : right now there is no matchmaking.On the other hand, the 4 maps means that an extra map (even if its not entirely finished) will help greatly towards freshness. Arena is still available in custom and if it was possible to add overpowered in custom it wouldn't be lost. Most people skip those modes anyway in arcade, leading to people leaving if hunt doesn't come up after a skip, leading to more downtime. The game is already hard enough as it is for new players, so having the game rules changing through each mode is adding more confusion to the mix. Add the dam in the rotation: I'm from the camp that having different modes isn't healthy for the game.
